Strength for the life you want to live.
Stature Magazine explores fitness and healthy aging through the everyday experiences of adults ages 40–60.
A return to the gym. A first strength session. The decision to join a walking group, try Pilates or make room for training after years of putting other responsibilities first. These are the moments that give fitness a place in a person’s life.
Our interest is what happens around the workout as well as inside it: the uncertainty at the beginning, the support that makes a difference and the progress that becomes meaningful beyond a facility’s walls.
The person comes first
A training program can describe exercises and schedules. A member’s journey explains why any of it matters. Stature’s interview features focus on that experience, as shared by the local fitness and wellness professionals who know the work behind it.
We ask for specifics: what brought someone in, what challenged them, which moment changed their approach and what they can now participate in more confidently. We attribute those accounts to the professional and treat a member’s privacy with care.
Useful reading for the space between sessions
Our reader guides explore the decisions that come with becoming and staying active: finding a coach, understanding a first session, making a workable schedule and recognizing progress. Health and exercise information is supported by identified sources.
These guides stand alongside our member-focused editorial mission. They give readers useful context without presenting a general article as an interview or a personal success story.
A distinct perspective within our publication family
Fitness Living Magazine tells the owner’s story—their beginnings, challenges, mission and values. Muscle & Authority examines the professional’s methods and training approach. Stature follows the member’s experience and the place fitness holds in everyday life.
The perspectives are connected, but each answers a different question. For Stature, that question is what it means to build a stronger, more active life at this stage of adulthood.
From the publisher
Stature Magazine is published by Mark D. R. Ford. Its editorial direction is calm, specific and encouraging, with room for the ordinary milestones that can disappear behind dramatic transformation headlines.
The Journal of Strength and Longevity is a statement of focus: understanding how strength, movement and daily habits relate to living well over time.
