Who we are
Stature Magazine™ (staturemagazine.com), The Journal of Strength & Longevity, publishes reporting, interviews and practical guidance on strength, mobility, recovery and healthy aging after 40. INC Strategic, operator and publisher of Stature Magazine™, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Mailing address: 400 Madison St, Seattle, WA 98104.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: privacy@staturemagazine.com, or write to us at the address above.
Effective date: October 7, 2026
The Stature Newsletter
When you sign up for The Stature Newsletter, we collect your first name and email address. We also record the date, time and IP address of your signup and of your confirmation click. You are subscribed only after you click the link in our confirmation email (double opt-in). We then email you when we publish new Stature interviews and selected stories, and we use your first name to personalize the greeting.
Every newsletter email includes links to unsubscribe or to manage your preferences. Unsubscribing stops our newsletter emails right away.
Optional email open and click tracking
Subscribing does not mean you agree to tracking. We record whether you opened an email and which links you clicked only if you allow it, using the “Allow tracking of email opens and link clicks” option on your Manage Preferences page. Unless you allow it, we do not record your opens or clicks. You can turn this on or off at any time, and turning it off never unsubscribes you.
If you allow tracking, an open is recorded when your email app loads a small image in the email, and a click is recorded as the link passes through our website on its way to the page. This measurement happens within the email and does not place cookies on our website.
Other information we receive
When you visit the website, our hosting and security services process standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. These services process this information to deliver pages, maintain website security and operate the site.
INC Strategic does not sell newsletter subscribers’ email addresses or personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate Stature Magazine™, deliver the newsletter, host the website, and provide related services, as described in this Privacy Policy.
Service providers
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| MailPoet (Automattic) | Stores newsletter subscribers and sends our emails through the MailPoet Sending Service |
| Rocket.net | Website hosting, content delivery and security |
| Google Fonts (Google) | Delivers the typefaces used on the site; your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address |
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our readers, our publication or others.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies only where the site needs them to work: cookies WordPress uses for signed-in editors, and cookies our hosting and security provider may set to protect the site. We do not use advertising cookies, Google Analytics is currently disabled on the site, and our newsletter sets no cookies on the website.
On articles, our view counter keeps a small record in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) listing the articles you’ve viewed and when, so a repeat visit within 30 minutes isn’t counted twice. Entries older than seven days are removed the next time it updates, the record stays in your browser, and the counter sends only the article’s ID to our own server. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Embedded content
Our articles do not currently embed videos, social media posts or other content from third-party sites. If we add embedded content in the future, we will update this policy.
How long we keep information
We keep subscriber details while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address and unsubscribe record so we can honor your choice. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove it except where we need to keep a record to honor an unsubscribe request or meet a legal obligation.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link in any newsletter email.
- Use the Manage Preferences link in any newsletter email to update your name, change your subscription or turn email open and click tracking on or off.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting privacy@staturemagazine.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will not discriminate against you for using them.
Children. Stature Magazine™ is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes. If we update this policy, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, note it on this page.
